Ana - Carers Coordinator &
Robyn - Carers Manager
Hi from Robyn and Ana. We coodinate the Carers and Multicultural Carers support groups and run information courses, education workshops and events throughout the year.
Often carers are so busy in their caring role that they are not aware of services and support available to them. We are here to support you. We encourage you to join our Program and also find support through other carers who are in similar circumstances. This program is funded by the Australian Government Department of Health.
We also partner with the Northern Beaches Council and local community services.
Our Caring for Carers program provides support, education, information, referral and assistance to carers who reside on the Northern Beaches, empowering them to manage the demands of their caring situation and to maintain their own health and wellbeing.
Anyone who is responsible for a member of their family or a friend, who is frail aged, has dementia or memory loss, has a physical, intellectual or mental health disability or an illness requiring assistance with daily living.
We provide support for Carers through monthly group meetings, giving you the opportunity to meet others in like situations in a relaxed, caring and friendly environment.
We also provide:
- Courses, Educational Sessions and Workshops
- Education sessions on Dementia, Residential Care, Hostel and Nursing Home, Legal and Financial Workshops
